From that advert:

The engine is a tweaked 3 litre V6 turbo as found in the Alpine A610, but the correct way around in mid-engined form.

The cheek! :P

Maybe, from a purely technical handling point of view, but having the engine at the back is one of the quirks and charm of what makes the Alpine so special and different and it's 'right' for me! :P :D

I can't disagree with what he's saying in the sense he means though!

Never driven an A610 but after having a Venturi 260 and a GTA turbo in the 'shop at the same time, the differences were massive and sold me on having a Venturi one day. Not saying Alpine didn't do a stunning job with the rear engined layout, but I personally much preferred the way the V takes the corners, and the driving position of being in the middle of the car. You pay for it in ride quality though.

The photo was the best one I had that showed the rear of the car. It's NOT my garage!!!! That's a friend's place and he had the lift installed after doing the sums based on parking and property value vs moving to somewhere with a bigger driveway/garage

Yeh, it would be a much nicer view with a couple of Alpines on the ramp!

Porshe have been doing it too...................for years

Can you seat four in a mid engined car?

Still might be intersting to see what an Alpine would be like with the engine "proper way round" LOL
