Avantimes & Matras Only.
XMAS MEC Meeting Midday Sun 7th December Grasshopper Inn, Moorhouse (A25), NearWesterham TN16 2EU
We have special Xmas treats for members this year. We have been welcomed back to the Grasshopper Inn, Moorhouse which is between Westerham & Oxted on the main A25 ( South) from Junction 6 M25. (See map & more details www.grasshopperinn.co.uk).
We have also been able obtain exclusive use of the Churchill Room in the oldest part of the Inn dating back 600bc (that is ‘Before Churchill’). The oak beamed period style Inn can also claim fixtures and fittings from many former historic buildings including the House of Commons and Coventry Cathedral..
We aim to provide Members with a wide range of activities & facilities for even a cold (& hopefully not wet) winter’s day as follows:-
- TV, DVD & VCR facilities to show past Club Meetings (inc. European) and related items of interest (please bring your own items).
- Rides in a Competition Matra bodied Rene Bonnet Jet by courtesy of Andy Owler (ear plugs recommended!)
- Mark Bloomfield’s ‘professional’ models display (See Centre Spread September 2008 issue)
- Greig Dalgliesh special tools he has made display (See also September 2008 issue)
- Facilities to share your prized Memorabilia (or sell?) to other members (including spares, technical books and other items
- Roy Gillard, our very own MEC guru will be there to answer the questions you were afraid to ask others
- MEC reserved area to enjoy the Inn’s excellent Carvery facility
- Plus all of the Inn’s usual facilities
-
Hope to see you all (and of course a lot of MATRA’s if possible) on the day
Please contact Chris House on 020 8763 0890 if you require further information and a Merry Christmas to all our Members.
