:D Yep.
It's amazing what a real tuner can do .Scoff is the man for the Adaptronic .It's driveable ,smooth and powerful .You only have to look at the map and these curves .
That's JIL laid up for the winter now .A few tinkers, big turbo ,injectors and a re-map .I reckon she's good for 250 + and that'll be more than enough .Power to weight will be far better than those lardy old 610s and she already eats them for breakfast
Looking very dirty though .................................

Doesn't that show how amazingly accurate the Racelogic equipment is.

The two runs on the dyno gave 220.8 bhp and 224.6 bhp

Racelogic gave 221 bhp

No point doing it until it all works Davey boy .You know where talk gets you
It's not that complicated
Trigger wheel and a man that can .You know you're welcome up here anytime mate , just fix a date,I'll get another pulley trigger assembly made up and I'll have a word with Scoff to pop down and get yours fine tuned .
He's got my map but will need to customise it for your CC ,injectors and idle valve

Turbo

Postby Miles » Mon Dec 01, 2008 9:40 pm

Would have been nice to have got it done with the large turbo.
Now who has that?
Where is that illusive man?

Scoff has a proper job but I'll ask if he can do the weekend after next ?
I don't know how much he will charge but he's worth every penny in my opinion .
I will get the pulley trigger off JIL and get one knocked up .It may need to be welded on as the only pulleys I have here are not as mine .The area I used to tap and fix the trig wheel is not there on those in the parts bin  .
Give me a bell when you're free ,you must be worn out with all that new found freedom

How about a slightly different approach. Find yourself a crankshaft from *any* NA even fire and get a set of forged pistons made. Then you'll have a 2849 which is capable of approaching gearbox-busting torque territory (see Venturi 260 - nearly 300ft-lbs and 260hp at a bar). This is only a few away from what the 3 litre does as standard anyway, and pushing a 3 litre properly means going way beyond the gearbox's limits.

AFAIK the Venturi 260 is merely a Z7U with a 73mm crank and their own pistons.

BTW I've nudged Rob to give Scoff a tinkle and get his DeLorean fine tuned.
