I sold a set to DG ages ago when I did my first ever engine build .I think they were from a 2.8l Espace .DG sold them on to someone on here ?
I can't remember but I did measure them but I can't find the figures ....But they had a lot of lift I think .
DG ??? The bod that bought them from him ??? I would like to have another look at them .

According to the yanks, the Volvo B280E has the highest lift solid-rocker cams of any production PRV (same power from a 2.8 as Renault pulled from a 3 litre).

There's a guy in the US who got a 3 litre turbo running very well using a set of these cams that I sold him. You'll find them in any 1984-90ish V6 Volvo 760

Excluding the crank case and sump, the engine looks pretty much identical to an Espace/25 lump

The n/a 280E cam solid-rocker has the greatest lift and longest duration curve of all the std cams available. I have measured the lift curves, but depends what you want to do though really :D
... A diamond is only a piece of coal that did well under pressure... PRV afflicted, may be I need to squeeze harder!!!!

I don't want to lose too much low down torque ,still keeping an eye on hill climbing but mostly for track use .The torque is already moving up the rev range with the bigger turbos ..

Well IMO stick with what we know - that the Venturi 2849 is even more torquey, no much more powerful at top end. I don't know for sure that the cams are standard Z7U but the figures would certainly suggest that they are. I'm sure Paul C would be happy for you to have a crawl over his if you're near Dunstable

... considered swapping the box, to get higher final drive ratio to suit hill climb? Would need to plot torque curve and multiplication ratios to see if it would be worth it, might be cheaper than engine mods.

No thanks, not after changing the box .The odd hillclimb now and then .
Mind you when you get the boost sorted Jon it would be good to see how yours goes .
