Co Op purchasing idea???

Postby simontaylor » Thu Feb 24, 2005 2:09 pm

Is there any support for a co-operative purchasing scheme from within this site.

If the person who gets the best service/discount/availability from a Renault dealer, ordered all the parts for all of us, imagine the saving we could all enjoy.

Firstly, we need a trusty volenteer to be the front man, who does'nt mind going to their dealer, say once a month, and placing a big order. Then there is the collection of individual monies and the sending out of parts. Or can you order a part at 1 dealer and allow the network to deliver it to another as pre-paid?

Or maybe just for small light parts that won't cost much to post.

Welsh Wizard, can you help?

Any comments any one else?

Personal Tax implications should be zero so long as no profit is made, but some one should have a good Christmas with a few more bottles.....

I might be able to do it, but I'll have to see what sort of discounts I can get from our Reanult Parts Dept.

Unlikely!

Renault don't offer too generous a discount for trade purchasers. I can get the same price parts from Masters of Beckenham as any non-Renault garage and generally thats about 15%, although it is sometimes more depending on what you buy. Car club members can usually wangle 10% no problem - this was definitely the case with CAR. By the time you throw in delivery - which can be quite expensive. Do we all really buy that many genuine Renault parts on a monthly basis?
