Martin- I know you know this stuff better than me but otherwise it might be down to dirty injectors causing uneven mixtures and then hunting. Does it happen during warm up only or all the time. I think mines quite stable once warm, but can be a bit rough during warm up.

I know the K-Jet and odd-fires pretty backwards, and how the EFI ones work, but we're all slaves to the wiring and ECU map, and the more I look at it, the more it looks like the map in the 3 litres is decidedly compromised. Do you also have a flat spot from 2500-3000 when the engine's cold? My V did, and so does the 610.
If it were in an odd-fire the way it idles is very consistent with running too much ignition advance. The DeLorean has a vacuum solenoid which switches the advance off when you drop to idle, and when it (or the switch fails) it idles with little burps all the time.
I spent some time on Martin Guard's Venturi 300, trying to cure this lumpy idle and actually had the injectors tested and cleaned - they were all withing 1cc of 337. I also swapped out my injectors in my Venturi for the ones off Mr Clarkson's 610 engine, and nothing changed.
I really want to see how Tony's goes now the trigger's sorted. If only the idle stuff on the Adaptronic was as easy as everything else...
