Turbo Cooling Hoses

Postby jon_viola » Mon Feb 09, 2009 7:39 pm

Hi,

Thanks to Marks breaker i've got some turbo coolant hoses at last. I know where the ones at the back of the turbo go but the one that comes out of the front and goes through the fan outlet then, well where?! I can't see where it goes next, can anyone help? With a diagram or a photo for a thicko musician like me?

Thanks!!

Yes yes i know!! Got the hose into the expansion tank but not sure if it has that inlet still. I know Paul Sage had a fiddle when he removed the original corroded turbo hoses so not sure what's left1 Will have a look next time i'm at the car (Thurs).

I'm not overly convinced the turbo needs the water cooling .I blocked mine off when I did the 360 thrust bearing conversion on the std unit .
This is now now back on the car whilst I get my big turbo repaired and is just fine without any water cooling .
When I removed the feed pipes to the turbo they were so full of shite that I doubt any water actually made it as far as the turbo .
Well worth taking the pipes off and giving them a damn good blow through if they've been on a while .
