Yes I will keep my promise! It will be saved not broken and may even go wide body...

That is a very flattering photo though, perhap we should get you to take the promo girl pics at the next show Mr Dini 8)

Le Mans body kit! Always wanted to do that myself but funds didn't allow. See if we can do a deal once you've completed it

It's a very long and expensive road as Si21 will testify, if anyone does it I expect it will be Mr Dini. It will cost the sale price of a perfect GTA to pay for the kit and paint and then some. But I think D53 would be a perfect base as the doors and wings etc will have to come off anyway for the pillar repair and it needs a complete re-paint, so may as well paint a kit!

Hopefully we will be off this afternoon with a petrol angle grinder to make a red GTA cabriolet and source a windscreen for D53. And yes I did offer to try to save it but the owner was insistent that it was broken :(

Took it for a drive today all seem ok for the moment. Weird how many things are different between a D plate and my other E plate

I was going to try and get it MOT but unfortunately Mr Dell decided to dance on the windscreen......... Anybody out there with one spare screen?

YES, new or SH

Get yourself around here this afternoon with the Volvo and the angle grinder!! It's GETTING LATE...

It's a good excuse to paint the windscreen pillars too when it's out.

Don't worry Simon you will have plenty of time to be the lonely sheep, I will start the LE MANS PROJECT at the end of the year. Need to get the bodykit and sell most of my cars to raise the funds

Postby si21 » Fri Mar 20, 2009 10:27 am

But there are only so many roads to travel in life and I wont be the only person who comes up with great ideas

Rupert what stage are you at now, unfortunately I have not really had any time to do anything to mine since it has come back from the paint shop; the Atmo has kept me busy. I think once the warmer weather and lighter evenings are hear I will start to knock her into shape. I have found a good upholsterererer to sort out my leather tho' :P

Must do list of what has to be done .....maybe not I might scare myself
