French Car Show, 14 June 2009 ...

Postby 2P5T » Sun May 03, 2009 5:41 pm

... Northants

Looks a bit "MAX Power" from the pictures to be honest but maybe some of you will want to lech at the ladies or laugh at the body-kits.

If anyone is thinking of buying a Lambo door kit for their Alp in readiness ... please don't.

BIG_MVS: Too boy racer for me

Thought that would be the case.

BIG_MVS: think the club went once a couple of years back?

Maybe one of those "never again" scenarios.

Yellow R17.

Looks like at least some cross-section of people - not all Saxo's and 306's with extra bit's added.

This sort of thing (not for those of a nervous disposition) ..

I was supposed to take the Venturi there last year, but my striker pin snapped the day before... and according to the testimony of those who did go, I had a narrow escape.

Far too Max Power.

Bromley Pageant is the same day so I'm hoping most of us will be there!

I would have gone just to have a look around if there wasn't a clash.

Never had my wheels nicked there

Postby si21 » Fri May 08, 2009 11:09 am

and I went four years running as the Event Organiser for 21TOC

I know what you mean about about the chav horns and teeth on Saxo's ....not my idea of a modified car, but, the organiser Mark Dow is all for old cars as well. Somebody had a pop at the show on 21 TOC and he defended his corner stating that older cars are just as important to him. My view was to try and get the 21 noticed as much as possible. We had on average 40+ 21's at the show and one year, Prima lent us the Europa Cup to put on the stand before it went back to Histoire & Collection.

I know there are a lot of cars you probably dont want to see or appreciate, but its up to you whether you want to take a stand and be bothered to put something interesting on show, other than a pug 106 or a Saxo with horns teeth and a stereo that weighs more than the kerb weight of the original car
