Commercial shipping to the US

Postby clee » Wed Jun 17, 2009 3:46 pm

Bit of a longshot but I thought I'd ask on here ...
Funky Dory Dawn has a huge order for personalised chocolate bars to ship to the States .
We have been in touch with DEFRA as we need a license to export foodstuffs .The milk can't be farmed in Surrey etc ...... Anyway long story short we can't get any help or sense out of the chocolate manufacturer  They are being right royal pains and not very forthcoming with the documentation .......
Does anyone have any experience or know of someone we can talk to to get some real advice on the ins and outs and what we need to do .It's only chocky bars ,not mad minced beef .
Tried Business Link and they're about as much use as ..well a chocolate fireguard

Thanks both .
That'd be great if you could Martin :D

We just need license for foodstuffs I believe but it's proving difficult getting the info from the manufacturer .It's all the things we don't know that are keeping Dawn awake at night
Any advice on customs ,expert couriers etc most welcome .
