And I am heading for the assylum    well it should have all been road legal on Thursday but she has issues; well dont they all   now I do too

The Lemans is looking stunning even if a I say so myself. I am picking her up from the paintshop tomorrow, then starts the process again. I have everything completed to a great standard so far, so the rest will have to be done and completed to the same degree, as anything thats not will stick out like a sore thumb or a poke in the eye with a sharp stick

I am looking forward to getting her home and starting to put the rest back together...it will be a long time coming tho' as funds are now limited and still a fair bit to do

Has Mr Dell convinced you into getting all brand new parts also? Mr Dell he is the PIMP of Alpines. He brain washes us into buying these wrecks, then we spend a fortune on them, buy more parts and buy even more new parts……. Then we go broke and then he comes along with his PIMP machine ( wide arch GTA thing ) offer us peanuts for our cars and then we do more crying………

I hear Mrs Dini likes the Pimpmobile, so maybe you could cut your losses and just buy that instead (no new parts required) and then you can become the new Pimp of Alpine!

Atmo Update

Postby si21 » Wed Feb 04, 2009 5:44 pm

I have not touched it since the day she shared the contents of her cooling system with the rest of the engine bay :? However I have since gathered some momentum and have now removed the inlet manifold complete with carbs for Mr Saige to set up for me. Under inspection two pipes had ruptured under inlet manifold. New silicon pipes are now in my possesion along with all new clips ready for fitment.

New Pro race light weight rims and tyres are ordered and manifolds and system

So more Gee Gee's and grip on the way ready for the coming year  8)

looking forward to getting her up and running properly now for a few sprints etc in 2009

No mate selling some stuff to have to by new tryes for atmo anyway and the standard system is shafted and I aint paying £500 + for a standard one thats inefficient any way my car accident paid out much better than I thought so the exhaust is a present the rest is going on the card mate

Well spent a lot of Sunday

fitting new Silicon hoses that sit underneath the inlet manifold, what a pig of a job took ages .....you were right Mr Dell    all new clips starting to look quite reasonable now. I have freed up the bleed nipple and had the thermostat housing bead blasted and have all new gaskets. Just need a couple of pipes which are on order then I can refit the carbs and manifolds which have been rebuilt and set up by Mr Sage thankyou Mr Sage. I am hoping if the bits come in I can get her up and running again next weekend or very shortly. Still need to find out why she has exploded twice though, I am hoping it is a fan electrical wiring problem and not a gasket. Although it may be a blocked rad so maybe thats next on the list.

Hold a vidual and pray for me!!

Looking forward to putting the new alloys and exhaust system on her.

Si21 are they here yet Mr Dell....I think I ask him everyday ....Bless

All of the above fitted

Postby si21 » Wed Aug 05, 2009 3:14 pm

Sounds horny looks sexy

MOT & TAXED but the botch still wants to dump the contents of the Radiator all over the ground  so still can drive it

I just dont seem able to win it's fighting me all the way, just praying its not a head gasket.

I am hoping it was just an airlock and some old pipes. New pipes on the way I guess I'll find out soon enough!!!!

Inlet manifold and plumbing off for the third time :?

why do it once when three times is so much more fun....I can put the hoses back on in my sleep now

sounds like the same problem I had with my atmo, and it ended up being the seals around the liners........ sorry Si

oooooooooooooooooooooooooooOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Postby si21 » Thu Aug 06, 2009 2:41 pm

Thats not really what I needed to hear

Not at all what I needed to hear, I have been working so hard to get her running and road worthy was delighted she got an MOT

It may not be that it may just be knackered pipes I have replaced most of them now it was only a couple that were existing or good looking second hand.

If its the seals the engine will come out and an injection lump will go in on an ecu will make more power than a standard turbo without the weight.

si21 So near but so far
