Top quality oil filter?

Obviously you get what you pay for. Can someone give me some tips on the best quality filters? (for GTA turbo)

Most people would agree use only original Renault (Purflex).

However I have used WIX without any problems. They were the inventors of the spin on oil filter so presumably know what they are doing!

Purflux.

But these engines aren't highly engineered, I don't know of any failures caused by the oil filter. One with an anti-drainback valve makes things less messy when you take it off.

Yes the engines are a tad agricultural.
I wouldn't worry too much what filter but I'm thinking to put one in line to the turbo ...that's worth more than the lump is :lol:

ha-ha+ yeah.. especially if it's a polished turbo :lol: , not sure about the matt noit version, heard they come cheaper :lol: :lol: :lol:

filter - biggest filter you can find that will screw on and matches up obviously known make - Fram / Mahle etc etc... look for a later 3ltr filter n/a, much bigger than the Ren jobbies...
... A diamond is only a piece of coal that did well under pressure... PRV afflicted, may be I need to squeeze harder!!!!
