I'm home and grinning after a 300 mile drive in my latest acquisition - a GTA Turbo
Most of you will know it as Ruperts old car, I hope he doesn't mind me stealing one of his pics as I haven't tanken any of it yet. It needs a few bits sorting out, but nothing major and I got it for what I consider to be a good price
First impressions:
Boost is fun
The handling and performance are good - its nice not to have obtrusive power steering.
Trim, plastic, stalks, dashboard lights etc are hideous.
The seat seems a long way from the door - A 944 has the handbrake in the same the position but you have to squeeze your hand between the seat and the door to reach it.
Pedals are very close together - the clutch position will take some getting used to, along with nowhere to rest my left foot.
Suspension is stiff - even compared to my other sports cars with stiff suspension.
Wipers are just plain weird.
Did I say boost is fun
All said, I'm loving it all ready and look forward to driving on some of my fav lanes in Lincs/Norfolk ... I am not happy about the fact I have to drive a Range Rover tomorrow - if only the GTA had a boot.
