A610 Water Pump

Postby BIG_MVS » Mon Oct 19, 2009 2:25 pm

Right new Alpine = new issues

The last 2 GTA's I have had needed water pumps as I think it's through lack of use.

Anyway I have a coolant drip (which I thought was an oil leak at first) on the drive. On closer inspection it's dripping down the back of the crankcase so I assume it's the water pump?

Has anyone done one on a 610, is it a git of a job?

Also where do I get the replacement pump from? Is it Renault only or will a motor factor have one, is it the same as a GTA one?

Cheers for any input!

No,not the same .I have one here for the new lump .There are compression type fittings on the rear .They just push in .
Gearbox end or pulley end ? Could be those two pesky pipes at the back .

I am that Sir .
I need to get a van though as the 21 is a bit too thirsty and the boot is too small for all the gear .

One in pic is from a Laguna 3ltr n/a, should be the same as yours, you may want to check the pulley ratio though, some are different. Should be nice n'cheap :)
