2010 Sprinting & Hillclimbing

Postby simontaylor » Thu Oct 22, 2009 10:52 pm

I was at an ACSMC meeting this evening. The MSA are revising the class structure for 2010 and all the associations have agreed between them selves how the sub classes will be split up.

A - Road Going Series Production Cars :
1. Up to 1400cc - 2wd only
2. Over 1400cc to 2000cc - 2wd only
3. Over 2000cc - 2wd only
4. 4wd

B - Road Going Specialist Production Cars
5. Up to 1700cc
6. Over 1700cc

C - Modified Limited and Specialist Production Cars
7. Up to 1400cc
8. Over 1400cc to 2000cc
9. Over 2000cc

D - Sports Libre
10. Up to 1800cc
11. Over 1800cc

E - Racing Cars
12. Up to 1600cc
13. Over 1600cc

F - Hill Climb Super Sports Cars (For Hillclimb Championship only)
14. All engine capacities

There is likely to be a Class-0 too, for complately standard cars, no mods at all, just tyres upto 25mm wider and uprated brake pads.

I will be in A3, if anyone is interested.

Mark, You will not be D Sprts Libre, thats for one off type cars I think.
You might scrape into B, otherwise C is the old "Modified" class.

Here is some additional detail.

When the 2010 Blue book is published we will see the final details, but we will have seen sight of them in Motorsport news which you get from the MSA quarterly.

The ACSMC 2010 Regulations have been authorised by the MSA.
Here is an advance copy, they will also be published on

http://www.acsmc.com

2010 Regulations - Click Here

RAOC is a member of the ACSMC, so RAOC members are eligable to enter any or all of these event.

GOOD NEWS, you will see that class C3 is for 2 wheel drive cars only, so we will not have to compete against road going WRC cars.

1st event for me will be Rushmoor on April the 11th.
This is in Farnborough, Hants and is a good event for spectators.
Good line up of cars in the past too.

I have original block, box and diff in original positions.
I have original suspension layout and I have an interior.
also for road going, induction is 'free'.

Modified is mostly cars with bigger than standard engines, like rally cars and trailered cars.

Same rules for every one, would be good to see some more cars out competing this year.

Oh yes........ and in A3, because turbo attracts a 1.4 times cc multiplyer.
or B6 if there is less than 1000 cars produced.
