Blue GTA - Reading.

Postby Paul Taylor » Tue Jan 26, 2010 8:39 pm

I cannot believe it.. I have not seen a GTA in the flesh for about 5+ years, and now ive owned one for just a few days..

And...... I spot another half a mile from my house !.
It was dark blue. Did not catch the Reg. Was driving my truck at the time. And it was going the other way.

I did wonder, since that was dark blue.
Merlin is in Bracknell, about 15 miles from me.

PS: Merlin was looking pretty sorry for itself when i test drove it last month. Bubbled paint, Deep scratches on rear qtr panels, very damp inside, elec windows dead. And engine miss-firing.

Hmmm - I think you will find Paul T that we had a conversation about Merlin before you went to view the car and I told you it had some bubbling to the roof and a scratch here and there but overall it was a rare colour and in tidy condition. I also said that if you were looking for a concourse or mint car this was not for you

You did indeed. But even given your description, it was well below what i was expecting once i saw it in the flesh.

Like you and others said,it was in my best interests to see as many as possible, and that paid off in the end. Got a great car, that needs very little for a great price.

You did do well, I thought you would have to spend 6-8k to get the condition of GTA you were after.
