Scam or great idea?

Postby stephendell » Fri Jan 29, 2010 1:20 am

These guys must be raking it in.

Always wondered how these sort of auctions worked ie win a TV for £30 win a playstation for £12 but when you realise that every 1p bid costs 50p suddenly it starts to make sense.

An Xbox sold for £28.02 has actually raised £1401 in bids + the sale price making £1429.02 for a £200 item

A £100 gift voucher sold for £7.05 has raised £352.50 + £7.05 = £359.55

So buy some mid price electrical items, set up a very clever website and let the money roll in!

Or so it seems...

Check it out if you dare or if you can bear the boredom of watching the clock count down and then shoot up again at the last minute over and over again: http://www.bidfun.co.uk/?r=R2760146

Wish I'd thought of this
Trafic, Twingo GT, Vel Satis Turbo x 2, Clio V6 Proto Ph2, Vel Satis 3.5, Avantime, Alpine A610, GTA Atmo x 3, GTA Turbo x 3, R5 Gordini Turbo Mid Engine, Alpine A310 4cyl, Alpine A110, Yellow Smart
