go sprinting and you 'll spend the same amount on 3/4 sprints as Macon weekend but only drive about 10 miles though and be stood around waiting chomping bacon baps and drinking dishwater tea for most of it

Normally around £250 for an individual or £300 for a couple all inclusive, entry, meals, accommodation.

p+o ferry deal

Postby baldrick » Fri Jan 29, 2010 1:46 pm

hi all
just checked an e-mail that i recieved from P+O about deals for crossings if booked before tuesday 2nd feb. which are from £20.00 each way

i have checked the dates and rough times we where thinking of goin and they are still £20 (but dont know how long that will last)

so wondered who else would like to take advantage of this deal and go over by ferry

and if so what times would be best

it is about 7 hours to Macon, driving time. So you will probably be ok.
Last year I left 1 hour behind every one else on the next tunnel crossing. We caught them up within about 20 miles of Calais because of their electrical gremlins.... or should that be froggy electrics.

you'll be behind everyone..... but no matter if you drive like Simon you'll easy catch up the Mr D convoy......as they make loads of long stops...weak bladders etc  and take a long time to do the run down

i can do my house to calais..... in 6.5 hours..... and i live 1.5 hours further on than macon..... it's all autoroute with only 2 toll booths between calais and macon so no interuptions except for fuel
