A bmp is a bitmap file. A jpeg is just the same thing written in different code (I think it's a smaller file size, but I may be wrong)

Yes, you can convert a bmp to a jpeg if you've got some image editing software, like photoshop, Jasc Paint Shop or the Gimp! If you haven't got something suitable, the Gimp is free to download:

http://www.gimp.org/

Simply open the bmp using in the image editing program and then 'Save As' a jpeg. Easy! :D

Oh, and it's fairly easy to convert it. Just open the file, select save as, then you'll see a drop-down box that'll change it to/from bmp to/from a jpeg/jpg file. If you still cant get it, give me a ring and I'll talk you through it (although I don't think that'll be necessary)

Not necessary! If you're using Microsoft Paint it'll do it for you. See above post

With reference to Avatar's.

Is this not a family orientated forum ?.

I have to say, out of all the Car forums i visit daily, which is quite alot ! lol.
This has to be the worst for avatars that are unsuitable for general family viewing.

I have children in the house, and i have to make sure none are around when i visit this forum, due to all the Bouncing Boobs, and Women kissing etc.....

I am sure i am not alone here in expressing this concern.

cheers,

......you might try clicking your edit box, removing the picture address, and re-entering it to the line below the text, or cut and pasting the address to the same place. It might work
