Hi Lee, my brakes run behind the 16" Le Mans front rims. I found the design for the brake set up on a French forum, detailed on this site a while back. We haven't tried to fit them behind the 15" rims but I think it is unlikely to work.

Then big trouble.

Went out for first drive came back for a quick spanner check. All ok.

Head down for a 4 wheel alignment and head light alignment. All ok.

Start to wind things up a bit, still ok. Come to the end of the road and the oil light is on!!

Back to check oil pressure, when oil is at 70 degrees there is zero oil pressure. I have never heard this engine running before so I had just fitted new head gaskets and skimmed the heads etc so really its no suprise that there is no oil pressure given the half wits that had been let loose on it before.

So, a phone call to a very good friend resulted in this............

Started at 6am and by 8pm my hands were washed and I was driving home!

Thanks to my great mate Darren for the loan of his engine and to clee to bounce ideas off.

Has since been driving fine, over 100 miles today.

Lots more work to do when I return, i.e. swap the engine back into the other car and rebuild the bottom end of the engine with low oil pressure!

What a shame :(

Did you just swap out the complete rear assembly or build the motor up into your set-up?

Swapped the engine only across.

Our gearbox has different gearing and a LSD.

LOL, I also fixed the rear crank oil seal leak on the loan engine!!
