Hi,

forgive my ignorance but i'm a bit intrigued, why do some v6 turbo have a renault badges on the bonnet and others alpine ones?

Renault Badges were used 1985-1989, Alpine Badges thereafter. I think it was the same over in Europe as well.

In the UK it was just a Flying A (Talbot had the only rights to use the Alpine name) on the later cars but in Europe they were fully Alpine branded.
