Its working again!!

Postby Tony Smith » Thu Jun 10, 2010 4:05 pm

A 6TTA is up and running again. Burnt out fuel pump relay as anticipated - I'm sure the AA man could have fixed that! Started straight up. Wonder whether the Walbro fuel pump draws a tad more juice. Wired 2 in parallel now so double the ampage and if one packs up it'll still go :0). MOT booked for Saturday morning ready for Bromley pageant on Sunday.

Postby Tony Smith » Thu Jun 10, 2010 10:10 pm

Rad and fans back on the atmo .........my car is possessed testing yesterday it stops at 80 degrees temp, so we don't even know if the newly fitted fans work LOL new relay flitted too and still nothing . I think it is an air lock in the pump after it ran out of fuel .........bloody useless gauges.

Well Tony if its not an air lock I'll see you Sunday in the van.......the car is cursed.

:D sounds good, usually one set of contacts will hog the current though (nothing is ever equal with electrons :P ), so just check them once in a while. Only thing to look out for, you have twice the current going through the ecu driver stage now, so more heat - and not double, the additional heat load is proportional to I^2 x R (R hasn't changed in the driver and I has doubled) , should be ok
