Air con pipework

Postby Midlife » Sat Jun 12, 2010 8:46 am

I am in the process or re-commissioning the air con in my 1987 GTA . I have the compressor on order but am struggling to locate the two hoses ( rubber with steel pressesd unions) that run the length of the car. Has anyone recently carried out this work and be in a position to point me in the right direction for a supplier ? Other than the lack of air cool air the car is running very well. After a longer than planned winter storage she is running like a steam train. A V12 Barabus SL arrived in the workshop last night which should keep me busy next week working out a misfire problem. Busy Busy Busy !

Full weekend with 28 Cubs at Chatham dockyard , so no opportunity for classic car shows. Bromley is a brilliant event & I hope to get back there next year. Removing the air con pipework has left the front of the car in several pieces. It looks as though I will need to have the pipes made up by a specialist later this week ready for when the pump turns up. Looking forward to Silverstone this year & hopefully Goodwood breakfast.

Air con pipes.

Postby redodare » Wed Jun 16, 2010 7:33 pm

My red shed is an 87/88 turbo without air con. However there were rubber pipes running inside the n/s front wing. These have been removed with the copper pipes that ran under the car from front to rear. Any good ?
