Well for starters it's half the price and half the miles, also we all know that TURBO fetch more money than those crappy old carbed ATMO's

Apologise in advance to anyone who owns an ATMO, but it's true! ( oh sh*t I probably started a 50 pages long thread now, on why an ATMO is better than a Turbo )

Sorry John, you are a lovely chap, but...... my atmo was crap, I had to rebuild the engine, only done 60k. All atmos I have come across via RAOC owners never run properly or just don't run....... ask our friend Simon G. he will tell you. So until the day comes when I can actually see with my own eyes an atmo that actually runs properly, my mind is made up......... ATMOS ARE CRAP

Off topic..but why are the Atmo's so bad ?.

When i was a lad, my dad had a R30 TS, which had the 2664cc V6, with carb setup.
I remember that being a great car, and dont think the engine ever let him down.

I personally I think the Carbs lets them down big time, they should have gone for something reliable like the good old Italian Webbers.

Atmo

Postby Tony Smith » Tue Jul 13, 2010 7:32 am

That red atmo at the start of the thread - is my friend Steve Meluish's car its a very tidy example and he has looked after it very well and anything that needed doing he would do. Went very well last time I went in it. Paint work is pretty good on it too. Hes a really good guy and the only better Atmo I 've seen around is John C's - which is literally like brand new Phil  . But Steve's atmo isn't £1500
