RAOC Tour of Wales 21st 22nd August

Postby stephendell » Tue Jul 20, 2010 8:39 pm

Regulars already have their names down but for those newbies that have expressed an interest here are some basic details.

Some fine dining interspersed with some brisk driving including parts of the EVO triangle.

There will be an arranged hotel stop over (probably Llanberis) with dinner on the Saturday night. You will need to make your own arrangements for Friday and Sunday if necessary.

Saturday midday break at Portmeiron as usual. Discounted admission arranged.

Sunday lunch at the Groes, Nr Conwy

Andrew has arranged a very special treat for us courtesy First Hydro

Final details and route to follow.

Its lovely there I spent 12 days canoeing down the river that runs through the valley getting pissed on the local reds. (a long time ago tho')

Look out for the section of river that looks like its running uphill ....really weird :!:

Simon, If you, or anyone else for that matter, requires a B & B for the Friday night, we have booked an Excutive Double room for £39 including breakfast, (normally £110) at the Talardy Hotel St Asaph, we stayed there last year, and it is very good value, and just about a mile or so from the start of the Tour, and you pass a service station on the way if you want a fill up.
Log on to http://www.laterooms.com/en/hotel-reser ... asaph.aspx for the hotel
