I've overstroked it  I think ....it will be fine

Get it out and modify the bearing carrier is in order ,then weld a few bits and bobs ...glass in the additional intercooler ...make up new Adapt engine loom .
fabricate an external wastegate to go between the collector ....renew all brakelines ....check gearbox ,driveshafts and bearings all round ...

The list is longer but then so are the Winter nights  will roll it over to one side and get stripping .
Next year Rodders

 holly shite batman! ha-ha+

... plate looks ok though :) ... seconds out, round 2... time for a nice big compressor.

.. I was thinking   as it's now winter  let's pull the heads, look at the burn and sledge in some bigger inlet valves, it's the time to do it you know   :D Stuff the old OE inlet valve on 30 deg seat to keep the comparison, were ultimately limited by the OE piston capability and overall max boost anyway. Time to get them there inlets up to around 52% of the bore me think, and I just happen to have already sledged in some big inlets to a test head, so come Chrimbo when I have some consecutive days will test and let you know the flow increase to be had mate :D :D :D If there's more to be had we may as well have it!

Thanks for that .
The std bearing thrust face diameter is too small for the AP cover plate so I had to get a larger diameter bearing .I'll give them a bell and see what the dims are .
Looks like they have a few bits that might come in handy :D

Wow Clee! That's some damage.

I'm not that intimately familiar with the internals of the clutch/gearbox. What did that mangled bit used to be?

Thrust bearing carrier .It's got a plastic sleeve that holds the bearing .The bearing has seized and got hot melting the sleeve .It looks worse than it is really .
I'm going to look at getting something knocked up in metal to replace the plastic bit and also set the height correctly ....still a bit of trial and error to get the actuation just right
Looked like this beforehand .I had to remove the outer ring of plastic to suit the new bigger diameter bearing as it's thrust face is different in that the outer rotates rather than the inner as on the original on the left .
