They are looking thinking you are selling one mate, put alternator part number required in the title and then maybe only those that know will take a look.

yes mate my first point of call.... they only list a starter motor for an 8,

if i have the reference no i can get one from woods

thanks for the info guys but none of the numbers you've posted seem to come up in the database, i'll try the RCCC as mr Assasin has advised see if some one can help on there otherwise it could still be stuck in the garage come Prescott time.....

Hi Andy,the R8 was fitted with a dynamo,back in the day :D I guess the alternator fitted to yours may come off a R5. Tony

motorola sev type a14 /30-40 26602 12 7 no 353583 these are all the numbers on the body . i found something similar on the shelf and swapped the mounting bracket . a good rebuild is pricey .or you can try luke motorsport to build one from scratch regards jeff.
