Fuel filters -- help

Postby muffy » Thu Mar 17, 2011 7:34 pm

1986 GTA turbo
Im replacing all my brake and fuel lines so thought I would change the two fuel filters whilst Im at it. Trouble is I went to a couple of auto factors they couldn't help. Reno said £44.09 large, £16.62 small + vat and would take a week or so as has to be ordered from France. Seems a bit steep to me !!
I looked on ebay but from the pictures they don't look right, as ive got threaded ends(large filter) and not inline type like they show.
Does anyone Know ,or have any ideas where I can get them from
Thanks

928 I think for rear and something else for the front ,slightly longer but fits fine ...I can't remember ... will look in the garage for the boxes .Failing that JIL is back this weekend and I'll check the filters for code .Should get both for less than the price of the rear .

Thanks Clee, that would be much appreciated, I read trailing through the forum that the small filter by the tank has stainless steel mesh and not paper, might make that harder to get hold of !

We need to get all these numbers and compatibility discoveries into some sort of database ............For those that can't be arsed to trawl through all the relevant postings Laughing
A members area posting ? All you do is post the relevant info in it ,innit .
ie BRAKE DISKS ..................Ren espace blah blah..........

2006 ehhh don't time just fly by ...... still good to see my idea has been taken on board by the management

Possibly the same , probably just different screw in fittings ....You need to retain the old ones from the existing filter .
