New Owner - Introduction

Postby Jon K » Sun Mar 27, 2011 11:57 am

Hi All

I have just joined the forum having purchased my first Alpine and would like to say hello.

I have met some of you before through visiting a few club events with Dave Miles and generally helping him when required with his car which has always been a lot of fun, so when the opportunity came up I decided to buy my own.

The car I purchased was the grey one on the car and classic website (late 89 GTA Turbo) and so far I have to say I am vey pleased with it. It is a very original car with lots of history and the only major fault with it seems to be the front end paint.
In the short term I will be looking to get the front end painted so if anyone has any good recomendations for painters in the Winchester area that would be great.

Look forward to speaking to you all soon

Jon

Welcome to the community, or funny farm depending how you see it...

Sounds like you have a late GTA is that right, twin pressure reg setup? Anyway, get active on the site, and enjoy!

Yep thats the one!!

It is a twin regulator model, of course with any new car there are a few jobs to do but I'm pretty confident I can make a really nice car out of it.

The interior is very good.

You can see in the picture the doors are a bit flat, the wings definitely need doing and the bonnet is awful. Having said that though the bonnet is physically in very good nick apart from the paint issues.

Looks like a nice car. You'll have lots of fun with it and the LeMans style wheels do look good. If the front is an issue that you want sorting then look no further than Andy001. He will I'm sure look after your car as a fellow GTA owner
