Jesus Andy! Are you trying to "Gazump" our leader in the number of Alpines/Renaults owned competition?

Keep that GTA Turbo Silver as they are uber rare in that colour so will fetch a nice price if your planning to flog it on....

i did think i was catching up with mr dell with 5 renaults and 3 others but unless he carries on with his clearence sales i don't think ill catch him up.
the gta turbo was colour changed when i bought it back in 98 to ford auralis blue as it was the closest i could find to what i had in mind.
then about 3 years later renault brought out a similar colour on the laguna 2 and clio. the renault colour in nice but ill proberbly stick with the ford one.

Feckin carbs !!! I do hate them .

So after a good old flush of the fuel line to the filter we get some decent flow but no go on the carbs .No fuel getting through to the pots .
Anyway long story short , swapped out the double carb ,the butterflies were shut solid
So new old stock carb goes on and yeehah !!!! Now to tidy up and tighten ,won't know on carb tune till later but priority to get MOT done and see how she fairs .
Andy ,don't think I need those other carbs but if you still want to pop over then 8)

meh ...fecker is leaking water from under the inlet manifold now ...pipe somewhere needs attention ...off it comes in the morning .

Got it up to temp ,exhaust now on ,carbs need attention and throttle cable sticking up pedal end I think .Starter temperamental so will run an earth to it and see if that helps ..sometimes good ,sometimes not .Stupid little things now .
Rad is holding up so will plonk her outside now she runs and flush again .
Next victim is lined up to enter the Ratsnest so it's big shuffle time .

I purchased Samco replacement hoses for al those hoses as I got fed up after having to remove the manifold 3 times due to split hoses, I did have a slight head gasket leak though. None the less great piece of mind for not a huge sum. The main coolant hoses from the pipes to the water pump are not available and different to the Turbo.

stupid carbs ....did I mention that I hate them ?All that extra pipework just so they can still run shite

Most of the pipes were in suprisingly good nick  The one that had failed looks like a dodgy ,that'll do , replacement .I've replaced it with another less dodgy replacement replacement .

All back together ,just leaving her overnight to get rid of any windy-pops and see if any drips occur. Then check over all nuts and bolts ,pop bumper back on with minimum boltage ,test brakes and see if I can get the feckin carbs to behave properly
