Faded paintwork?

Postby empty » Sun Jun 05, 2011 6:04 pm

Hi guys
this is probably old news but just in case...
I used some G3 by Farecla bought at Halfords yesterday.
Car looks brand new! Brilliant stuff.

I assume that's the compound (like T-Cut), in which case I'm told it's well know in 'the trade'. Just make sure you get a sealant (wax) on after as it'll fade quick without.

Yep - I think it the new T-cut. Saw it on Wheeler Dealers.
Its a 4 part system with a cleanser first then a scratch remover then a paint restore and finally a polish.
I just used the paint restorer part of the system and then applied a good coat of red Turltwax over the top.
I may well give their polish a go over the top as its good stuff.
She look lurverly!

Ive used the G3 on my red gta, it had been stood for 4 years outside and was more milkey white than red. T cut wouldnt touch it and I started to think it would be a respray  but the G3 did an excelent job. you do need to seal it with a good polish though.

I think our resident paint expert will tell you about G3. It has been used in "the trade" for many years.

Farecla do a range of cutting compounds with varying levels of cut. Some best for machine use, others OK for a hand job.

T cut is a watered down version and yes, it is amazing what results you can get.
