What you could really do with is some new spring seats making to suit std coilover springs innit blud .I know a man


Would be a good idea and then you can fit whatever spring rates you like.

Only need to do the top mount as spax already do a suitable bottom mount that fits.

Feck !!
It was all going so well but then angle setting the headbolts and one didn't feel right ......Shit happens .
Drop it down the engine dudes in the morning for an insert job .Need a new gasket as well .

Ouch!
Is that the old steel bolt into alloy trick?
You probably know this already but I got a great tip for making sure not to cross-thread and strip alloy from my cycle racing days.

To line up the threads safely, offer up the bolt to the alloy threads and then unscrew it until you feel a click or tick. That's the threads lining up. Then you can safely screw it in without ripping the soft alloy.

First one I've had play silly buggers ,you can feel them line up as you say but this one .........Should get it back early next week .
In the grand scheme it's not a big problem ,thought the whole block was for the bin at one point .

Block done just not had chance to collect it today .Hopefully back in the hole this week to fire up 8)
Still have the driveshafts to do , find a suitable gaitor etc .Box oil drain refuses to budge so weld a nut on ...
Will have to clean the remote oil stuff up and I've gone against instructions and done some bling :lol: Could not bring myself to put the covers on in the state they were so colour or polish ??

Heads back together and some chassis work but waiting on some chain tensioners as one had popped a locking pin and the other is not tensionanating :lol:
Think I'll polish someting whilst I wait 8)
