presentation - red GTA RHD ex F448RLL from Italy

Postby cineman » Fri Jul 08, 2011 7:57 am

Hello guys,
I'm Andrew from Italy.
I'm a Delorean owner ( Martin Stunned Monkey knows me from other forums ;) ) and I just got a red Alpine GTA RHD atmo:
this car came from UK, his last license plate is F448RLL , it was involved in an engine bay fire and went to the Netherlands, where a friend of mine took out the engine for a Delorean, and then he gave me the car for gift...
The car is quite complete apart the engine and the rear glasses wich was crashed by the fire. The fiberglass in the engine bay is a bit burned but not so bad.
I would like to restore the car with time, and put inside it a new engine ( i have some spare PRV's here...)
I will send photos of the car in some days.
Does someone know more of the history of this car ? Previous owner, what appened etc... ?
Thanks! See you!
Andrea

Buongiorno Andrea.

thanks for the...funny welcome ^^
I live in the north of Italy, near Garda lake, so no pizza, mandolino and similar...
I'm working again some rust this days with the GTA... i removed the seats, cleaned a bit, and i'm trying to start to remove the rear subframe but is quite difficult, lot of bolt seized.
It is quite easy to remove the front subframe like the rear, also ?

No, front subframe is bonded in so not easily removeable.

I have a new one though if you need it!
