Friday is free for car club peeps (well that's how it was sold to me). I guess you show them the red pass to get in on Friday. I'll double check now...

Well I've booked Sat tickets for the time being... until someone can advise/dis-advise on the free Friday?

I bumped into Stuart D at the Caring With Cars event in Bristol Sat gone, so I'm looking forward to meeting other RAOC fellows/fillies

I went this morning in the beautiful sunshine. The event is so much better in the dry! Nice to chat to Turbodog. Here's that French orange A610 I was talking about Andrew. I like it!

It did on Sunday!! Torrential for most of the day
Still a quality weekend. 3 days and I didn't get bored although the rain on Sunday wasn't great.



BIG MVS eventually getting a spin in the chopper. Air Traffic Control went on their lunch when we were just about to board











Loved the rallying trip out in the A110. I think I got wetter inside the car than outside but somehow, it just didn't matter

Update for this years event is that yet again the free tickets for drivers displaying their cars are not forthcoming. Also prices have gone up

So I have basically told them we will not bother this year. Mainly this is due to the lack of interest in this event from our members. I managed to squeeze 5 free weekend tickets last year from them after pleading and that's all we got to come.

To remind those who do not know the first year we attended they gave us 20 free weekend tickets for drivers, the following 10 free tickets and then none. Last year there were a lot less clubs there and even fewer cars on display.

Plenty more happening in the calendar so do not fear

That's a great shame, I was looking forward to going again.
In some ways I think, well the public are having to pay, so why should there be a different rule for exhibitors. However, I then think that at least a discount should be given to club members displaying their cars because the club displays contribute to the overall event and probably, although difficult to measure, increase the ticket sales. Without club displays it would be significantly less of an event.
