5 TR front suspension top mount change

Postby eastlmark » Sun Jul 31, 2011 3:01 pm

Anyone know if a front top suspension mount of my old 1989 5TR is an easy change or not? part numbers? where to get? Had an advisory on the last MOT and think i should get it sorted before next one.

I was hoping one of those might make a sprint car
as it seems to be full of hot elastic bands under the bonnet.

There are four. One still might make a sprint car but one is a real rotbox and is spares only.

Give me the registration number or the chassis number and I'll check it out for you and get them ordered.

Call Graham at Kingfisher in Billet Road (E17) 0208 527 7592.
He's probably the best 'non sporting' renault guy in east london and by coincidence he's a nice guy!

thanks, right on my old patch that one.

as it happens, Mark Fish has pulled it apart and there is nothing wrong, seems old 5's top mounts flap around when there is no weight on them anyway, is that right?
