this is unfortunately where my alpine lives! and that clean cost me £70  ......crap from the trees in the street had embeded itself into the paintwork and so it was either spending 3 days cleaning her or coming up with the monies..... not sure how much longer i can justify leaving the car parked on the side of the road as windows have seized up over the winter and wheels are starting to go despite regular cleaning.... will keep her going though as long as i can afford it...... out of interest does anyone know what is the most likely route of water getting into the footwells? the seals around the doors are in pretty good shape and the drainage ducts under the the cabin fan are clear..... any ideas?

I've had that problem before when parked on a hill. Is you car on the flat or facing up or down hill?

remove your door panels and i will bet you a pound to the penny that its coming in past the clear plastic panels that are held in place with mastic (if they are there at all!).

Seriously that's a good suggestion as the seals around the bonnet and front bulkhead area are the most suspect!

If this doesn't help then it could be a leaking heater matrix...
