There were at least 9 more RHD cars made after M610 BLX

Lambo man's chassis is 86044 fab no. 010807

Dermot's chassis 86053 fab no. 010817

Maybe Dermot would like the engraved plate!

Well praps' not the last but at least it's survived.

I have had 2 gearbox rebuilds and 3 clutches.

1st clutch good and replaced the clutch when the gearbox rebuilds was done.

I had the torrox drilled n grooved brakes all round fitted early on in my ownership.

I have new indicators, nose cone badge, door lock rubbers and new grilles that go in-between the rear quarter windows.

I have tried to keep it as good as I can.

OK after much work the A610 RHD register is almost complete and I would like to get this finalised before WSR if possible.

Small problem we have 70 UK registered A610s.

Alpine said they only made 67 so either they are wrong or there are some LHD UK cars in the list.

To try and establish which these are I will make a seperate post regaring each car and a general one.

If you can help please do!!

Register of A610's

Postby lamboman » Fri Aug 05, 2011 12:12 am

Posted: Sun Aug 15, 2010 9:31 pm    Post subject: A610 whereabouts
Hello. I have had mine for around 12 years.

Blue rhd index M610BLX 93k miles although had 73k miles when I got it.

It was originally supplied to spar UK the small supermarket chain. Then the guy I got it from in bournmouth.

I am in Bristol but my alpine is poorly.

While fitting a replacement hi-fi I noticed on the aluminium plate that holds the ecu has inscribed on it "the last one, dieppe, 1994"

I didn't pay much attention to this until I gave my oval plate numbers to city motors where after they informed me that mine was the last right hand drive off the production line.

However I do recall an N Reg coming up for sale shortly after my purchase.

Mine will not run when she gets hot.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Missing A610's

Postby lamboman » Fri Aug 05, 2011 12:18 am

Hi I have given this info nearly a year ago to the day about this and your asking again.

Did you not make a record of numbers then ?

Well I have been told by Renault UK that there was 67 rhd made and mine is number 66.

Yet the factory told me in 2005 that mine was the very last on assembled. Praps mine was number 66 registered for dealership numbers but was the last one made.

I have since been onto a website www.howmanyleft.com and they have 24 RHD's left registered with the DVLA altho that may not be the exact number left on the road.

Mine has been off the road for the last 3 years and now it is at the main dealer trying to get fixed.

If you want more info just ask and if it's running I would gladly bring it to silverstone

Many thanks

Hi info received and noted first time around thanks.

Recent request only relates to the specific cars mentioned.

Yours is second to last car in 1994 (November), but as you say there were some N reg cars in fact 8 more cars built in 1995.

Your fabrication number is K010807 last one sold was K010817 final car was K010818 retained by the factory. Hence records showing that 818 cars were built. We also have two anomoloy cars to explain K010834 & K010864 completed out of sequence.

Would be great if you could try and get it along to WSR for the 20 years celebration. If how many left is accurate we'll need everyone available please!

They all seem to have the cutting out problem to one degree or another.

Turbo is too close to bulkhead and ECU is just the other side.

First step is to remove the ECU and add some quailty heatproof insulation between it and the blukhead. Also space it off the bulkhead as far as possible before re-fittting.

Hopefully ECU won't have suffered permanent damage from overheating.

If no improvement make sure injectors and idle valve are cleaned and all electrical connectors in engine bay are good.

Maybe the insulation will be enough to get you to Silverstone!

Non starter when hot

Postby Andythecroc » Fri Aug 05, 2011 12:46 am

Thank you for the helpful info.

I have had the ecu tested by NBA reman and no fault found.

Changed the following

Rotor arm
Distributor cap
Both fuel pump relays
1 fuel injector after testing
Temp sender
Coolant temp sender
Potentiometer
Tdc sensor
Plugs

I have also done the following

Had fuel injectors tested and serviced
Put electro lube in main loom joint
Replaced and added earth straps
Checked fuel pump
Put new heat shield around distributor
Put heat shield between ecu and bulk head

Big thanks to Geoff Arthur for direction and to all that have tried to help me solve this over the last 3 years.

And she still would not start when hot so I have now sent her to city motors main dealer.

I sure do hope they can help cuz Lambo or not I miss my A610
