Museum offer

Postby Andythecroc » Fri Aug 05, 2011 1:29 am

Once mine is running properly I am thinking of offering it to a motoring museum for the next 20 or so years.

I am thinking haynes or the motor museum in Monaco.

I have no intentions of selling it and at a current 12 year ownership I must be one of the few that have had an A610 this long.

Any ideas would be gratefully received.

Thanks

Andy.
i had my 1st A610 back in 1994 a yellow 1 J457JTP now i own a blue 1 M610 BLX since 1997.

A museum  Get it fixed then use it, or sell it to someone who will enjoy it and drive it more often.

What a waste this really p*sses me off when people mothball these cars, dont get me wrong it is nice to keep them mint I know this myself, but I make sure it is out and about so people get to see them on the road as so they dont get forgotten!!! Come on Andy get her fixed and bring her to the shows and meets, prescott is a local one it would be nice to see another 610 there!!

I'm not mothballing it. I'm saving it for my pension hopefully it will be worth a lot more in 25 years time.

Once I get it back from city motors I will drive it for a while as I need to check they have done their job right.

Altho' it seemed every time I took it out in 2008 it broke down or something stopped working.

If i can not get the two electric window regulators to work properly it won't ever get driven.

Sorry if that pisses you off as you put it but I do not need to drive it.

It is just as cool knowing I own one of so few of a marque every made.

Same as my gallardo I only drive that when I have not got anything else to do, bought once or twice a month.

In my humble experience the less you use a car the worse it seems to get...

You are spot on john, alpines do not like being parked up for too long!!! Don't bother saving it for you pension as fuel prices will be sooo high at that point, that unless you have a electric motor in it know one but the super rich will afford to drive it, and let's face it if you are super rich you aint going to want a plastic renault!!!! So enjoy it rather than cash in on it!!!!!
