It would be nice to bring some quality to what I suspect will be a chavtastic Maxpower event! All those boyracers in Saxos and 106s wouldnt know what to make of a hoard of GTAs!!!!!

I'm already going

Postby Tony Smith » Mon May 23, 2005 2:32 pm

I was pestered into going by the 21 turbo club who have a big contingent going. Unfortunately I sold the car I was planning to take last week so I'm desperately trying to get one of my other 21's ready. It will be full of Clio's and Saxo's with the silly bumper brigade at maximum strength no doubt.

How can you generalise and tarnish all Chavs as Theives. Some are really nice guys,But them some definately are theives, I know from personal experience.

I was invited to go to that in our Xsara WRC, but it's far too far away! When I posted pics of the Xsara on their forum you could almost see the drool!

A forum.... for Xsaras?

Postby Tony Smith » Tue May 24, 2005 1:37 pm

Surely some mistake, although the VTS model was a decent drive, think I scared the salesman on that test drive!

That's why they should "show" you the car in the show room, and let you "test drive" it on your own.

I hate to say it but a classy french car would look out of place there if you look at the pictures taken from last year's event, thanks but no thanks.....

I'd say youre right....the event looks like a chav fest to me! Dont suppose there'll be many pre 1990 Citroens or Renaults and probably no Alpines, Matras or Venturi.
