Piston Heads Sunday Service Silverstone 2nd Oct

Postby stephendell » Sat Oct 01, 2011 2:37 am

Seeing as Goodwood is rubbish this month (anything but the car!)

Anyone fancy going to Pistonheads Sunday Service @ Silverstone?

Britcar 24h is on as well and seems you will have a free view from the Porsche centre where SS is.

You need to add you name to this list and then hope either 15 more people drop out or the organisers email you to tell you the reserve list is in:

Yes guys it was an ok day/morning out. Lots of different cars Lambo's the odd Fezzer, a couple of TVR speed 6's and a Masaratti & lot's of Porkers as is to be expected at Porsche world  It was good to be in such good company, with both cars receiving a fair amount of attention. We really needed to have walked round the very first thing though as many cars disappeared before we got there  some cars leaving quite early. There were GT3 RS's doing it sideways on the skid pan in the centre of the test track.....it was a bit like being at a Drift competition .

Best of all the view from the roof of the Porsche showroom was great.....over looking Club on the Silverstome Circuit for the 24 Hour Brit race; you had proper Le Mans quality GT sports cars thundering down the straight overtaking much much smaller cars you would not even imagine seeing on the circuit together  mad but very enjoyable none the less 8)

Then off to MK shopping centre for Frappaccinos and a look round the shops to keep Ms's Cox and Browne heppy    and a jolly good dey out was hed by all :P

Piston Heads even did and interview with me myself and Christine ...... will be released on piston heads Tuesday apparently.

Christine obvioulsy let it go to her head and threw a paddy on the way home, the carburettor playing up; the same problem as before so did a lot more fuel than I was expecting, the engine running like a pig thats already hanging in the butchers    finally coming to a halt on Sunday evening rush hour on the approach to Tower Bridge      Many thanks to Mr Dell for the Shove across the box junction

To add insult to injury the jerkiness of the engine has, I believe, dislodged a connector to the alternator (I am hoping) preventing it from charging and the battery died and so did the car 1.5 miles from home last night

I cant be angry anymore

So I'll be working like a loony to get her fixed Saturday before I sprint on Sunday at Eelmore

Christine she'll always have the last say.....I hope she looks good in filming otherwise she'll never run again
