What are the years of production for PRV 2.9 and 3.0 Atmo?

Postby Tony Smith » Mon Oct 03, 2011 6:18 pm

I'm hunting around for a 2.9 or 3.0 PRV injection engine to go in my atmo GTA and I'm not sure what years I should be looking for. I'll list what I think is correct but please feel free to alter as necessary.
Doner vehicles
Safrane all years
Espace until 1990
25 V6 all years
Laguna until 1990
Any Peugeots or Citroens have suitable PRV's?
Alpines - GTA 3.0 Turbo, GTA 3.0 Inj (Project DD), GTA 6.2 V8 (500 bhp) , R32 Skyline GTR, BMW Alpina B10 635 Highline, Alpina B10 E39 5 Series, Jaguar 4.2 XKR, Laguna 205GT, BMW 120d.

I think all the V6 Safranes sold in the UK were automatics, so there may be some differences.

Hi,

the PRV 2,9 evenfire was used in:
- Espace 1991-1996
- Renault 25 from late 1987 to 1992

The 3.0 version was used in:
- Espace JE up to about 1997 (only as automatic)
- Laguna I up to about 1997 (manual and auto)
- Safrane (manual and auto)
- the Citroen XM and Peugeot 605 up to the belt driven 24V engine

Friends of mine are rebuilding a Renault 30 with a Safrane engine. They use the loom and ecu from a Renault 25 to avoid the immobilizer. It could be easier to get one from over the channel like this one:
