Early mornings , the only draw back when doing an event some distance away but then again you can have some fun if the roads are quiet
One day some will arrange an event within a five minute drive from home, but I think the chances of that happening is ZERO
I would normally overnight at this one but circumstance has prevented it. My nearest event is an hour and a quarter away (Barbon) so I spend a lot of time travelling
Came second.....D'oh! Alpiniste and Alpine 99 turned up to watch and Alpiniste should have some entertaining footage. It rained all day and was completely miserable. Was beaten by a VX220 turbo so no big disgrace but as Alpiniste will testify I should have beaten him but for a final corner spin! Whats doubly annoying is that as I spun I almost crossed the finish line backwards which would have counted but I fell a foot or two short and had to spun round to gat a time....with hindsight I should have stuck it in reverse!!!!!!
Still leading the championship by a bit....next event Barbon in 3 weeks time.
Well done Peter on getting second,
It was the complete oppersite with the weather down here, Friday far to hot, Saturday very windy with patchy sunshine and today cloud & a sun burnt face!!!!
ps: I got another pb and won my class today
Just got my entry list for Gurston Down June 19th meeting and Peter Ellens has enterd with his A110, so the breakage from the April meeting looks like it's been fixed and Saturdays meeting has a R5T2 enterd.
Ive got the entry list for Barbon next weekend (I'm skipping Elvington as its as rough as a badgers asp apparently! ). Nothing too special on the list....couple of TVRs and a 911....nothing that makes me think I definitely havent a chance of winning anyway
