Really ???

Talked about a closed shop and moderation overload .
You cannot just wade in and delete anything that does not follow your own agenda .

Only posts that could be considered defamatory or libellous have been removed.

If you want to slag off me and other members and complain about RAOC then no problem. However we draw the line at comments aimed at other clubs that could get us into legal waters. Try saying "in my opinion" or something similar beforehand if you must.

Jeff is interclub liaison hence his particular offence at some of the comments. We have no agenda but renault classic do and it could be to everyones advantage and it would be a shame to mess it all up on some stupid throw away comments.

You seems to confuse slagging off with legitimate complaints about the general running of things .
We are all aware of these failings .It is not a new thing .
There were no offensive comments in that thread just a degree of confusion and questions .
Fine ,if the club is just to become a forum for meets and Renault corporate events then so be it ......................
I moderate on RTOC very rarely and we have a far broader demographic than here .All of the recent moderations are down to opinions and vested interest and really have no place on a ' members forum .

Yes there were comments aimed directly at another club. Everything else remains.

I've left that one in!! You've either missed the point or you didn't see the comments. I'll call you in the morning or on monday to fill you in as you won't be at the meeting.

Oh and "in my opinion" (for legal reasons) he's a top "and in my opinion" generous man who's done more for this club than "in my opinion" a lot of others have despite having a big role in another club.

He's in the secret list of secret officials in the members area under the special secret agenda section

Sense of humour check. Yes still working

Penelope Pitstop - Please Jeff you need to change your name to "The Assassin" immediately. And does that mean it's no longer all right to "wee wee" of the masturbators at CAR   (only joking!)
Alpines - GTA 3.0 Turbo, GTA 3.0 Inj (Project DD), GTA 6.2 V8 (500 bhp) , R32 Skyline GTR, BMW Alpina B10 635 Highline, Alpina B10 E39 5 Series, Jaguar 4.2 XKR, Laguna 205GT, BMW 120d.

On a more serious note

Postby Tony Smith » Sun Nov 20, 2011 7:04 am

Just thinking, are we sure we want to be in an umbrella group with other Renault clubs? Not that I dislike any car clubs but I'm a member of this club because I like the cars it supports, having to look at rows of chavved up 5's and Clios or on the other hand standard Renault 4's, 11's and 16's just wouldn't be my cup of tea. Each to there own and all that but personally I kinda like our stands the way they are and for 1/2 the cars not to be Renault Alpines or Renault Sports would be to its detriment in my opinion. I'd more prefer to go with performance French Clubs with cars like Matras, Venturi etc at least they are interesting.
