as you know i am totaly committed to the cars, the club, and its members, but there are some serious forum issues which im sure the attending members will bring to your attention.

Moonlight blue

Postby Tony Smith » Sun Nov 20, 2011 9:29 am

It's an Audi colour called moonlight blue - looks black at a glance but actually extremely dark blue with a sea green pearl in it, looked great on the car I saw it on that made me choose the colour.

We usually eat first. We don't take this too seriously if you have never been before but it's more formal than normal. Meal will be buy one get one free if I can be bothered to rummage in bins and the gutters for the required cinema tickets beforehand.

Secret Agenda:

1. Sign in register on arrival, paid up Members only please. Anyone can eat though they should just keep quiet and keep their opinions to themselves.

2. Apologies for absence. Mark Garner who will be at White Hart Lane presumably watching some sort of sport or possibly boiling his head in a washer dryer somewhere.

3. Minutes of last AGM if anyone took them or we can even find them, which is doubtful if you have seen the filing system here. I blame John ( I blame him for everything).

4. Matters arising from above if anyone can remember..

5. Presidents report. Events. Might talk about Federation / NEC / Festival / Wheeler Dealers here. We'll be talking about the whole year not just the tax year + Thanks.

Should be a Comp secs report?? No idea if this will happen. Mr Taylor seems to have gone AWOL. May be in India apparently or maybe at a Fezza OC meeting.

6. Treasurers report. We had some money. We spent it all. Oh and we spent some of mine and Jeffs as well. Need to be more vigilant collecting subs next year.

Club Assets at close of tax year 4th April 2011

Current Account £561.30 Reserve Account £52.39.

Club assets as of date of meeting 21st Nov 2011

Current account £120.28
Reserve account £0.00

(provisional as a £50 cheque for a Gordini Handbag that the secretary wants as payment for 4 days of misery in Birmingham may be cashed on Monday).

Frankly it's a suprise there's anything left at all :-0

Assets per member approx 44p pre hangbag 26p post handbag. Available cash on the day if we decide to dissolve the club.

7. Appointment of 10 committe members which is formal. Appointment of other roles which is not.( Any voting will be by hand show not secret paper ballot so we can see who the awkward gits are and arrange for any dissenters to be shot later.)

8. Anyone present can raise a matter that has been forgotten. We may deal with it seriously we may not. Members who are not present can submit items for discussion by phone or email or text or carrier pigeon (if they are from the north), but we may ignore them if they live north of Watford Gap services.

Close of business.

Someone should have minuted all of this.

Sense of humor restored.

I haven't done the formal accounts breakdown yet (tax man only wants overall numbers) but basically all the usual shit:

Insurance
Events
Hospitality
Trophies
Giveaways
Advertising and Promotion.
Uniform
Parts development
Discounts / susbsidies for members (tickets etc)
Competition entries
Membership to professional bodies
Transport

Notional income should have been £6750 which in the grand scheme of things isn't much but we probably only got 2/3 of that at best due to the inefficiency of the membership police and poor record keeping. Hence the vigilence required for next year. Hopefully on-line renewal etc may help.

I could have told you that myself ...specifics ??
Post it up online in the members area :?:

Automate the membership payment so that access to 90% of this site is lost if you do not renew .
No point just restricting the members area .I would suggest we just have general chat open to all .
