A310 V6 Speedo Cable

Postby AreTee » Tue Nov 22, 2011 9:32 pm

Hi,

This is my first post here.

I am looking for a speedo cable for a 1981 A310 V6, suitable for the electronic speedo.

Mecaparts have them in stock but the postage is nearly as much as the cable, so before ordering I was wondering if anyone in the UK has one.

Thanks,
Rob

Not sure anyone will have one on here, you never know though. Have you tried Simon Auto?

Try these people.

http://www.speedycables.com/

They helped me out recently for a part I needed for the throttle cable of the A310.

if it's nothing complicated like a handbrake cable they can make it but clutch, throttle etc with any renault specific ends on them they can't do it..... tried them already for some cables already and they sent them back being unable to do anything

Thanks for the comments.

I should explain that it is not a traditional cable - it is a magnetic or proximity type sensor which picks up on a castellated ring on the inside of the front left hub and then sends the signal back to the speedo.

Simon Auto are out of stock and are looking for a new supplier hence they can't offer the part at present.

so it's a electrical cable you need then? post up a photo of the the terminations on the end, it may be something that's easy to find off the shelf

post your pics on to a site called photobucket, then place your cursor over the pic use the bottom image option and clic on it , this copies the pic then paste the pic on to your post.

As I haven't posted photos previously I thought I'd give it a try.

Too many mouse clicks.
How do you post pictures so that they appear directly with the text without using a link? Like the wasp above.
