Heater cables

Postby jb644 » Fri Dec 02, 2011 7:07 pm

Are the heater control cables still available for the A610?
Both the heat and air flow control's have been stiff to operate since I have had the car. Now the heat control switch has gone loose as if the cable has snapped or come adrift.

I have the same problem with mine, I have tried straightening the cables as they have a kink, I tried oil, silicone spray etc… but no good! I think Mr Dell did say they were no longer available.... When they become stiff they tend to un-hook themselves from the plastic swing arm behind the controls..... A real botch to get to.....Try removing the side panel on the tunnel, underneath the steering column. Or if you get lucky it might be on the bulkhead side where it has unhooked.

Thanks Phil, I have had a quick look at the bulkhead end and they are still connected. I will have to get the dash apart and check there when I get time.
