I can delete in all parts of the forum apart from the members section and for sale/wanted.

How far does everyone want me to go with the post deletions? Obviously I'll keep everything with and precious info or pictures...

Steve - Would it be worth granting me rights for the For Sale/Wanted section to delete posts where the item is sold for example?

And now watch your P's and Q's everyone :!:

 I see what you mean! It does need a tidy up though.

Steve - I don't seem to be able to delete dodgy forum members mostly being Viagra and Porn Peddlers but I guess I would need "God" status to do that? There are 186 pages of forum members now :?

No point deleting old posts in general, they can drop off the first page if they're inactive. The many stickies are the annoying ones.

As above. Please don't delete any relevant posts however old unless they are offensive or spam or completely off topic or just plain rubbish. Even the info in an old for sale advert may be useful to someone sometime. Just change the sticky and announcement status on those to normal and then they will drop off out of the way.

There are too many spammers to delete manually. I will have to go into the database and delete them wholesale once I get Internet back.

Still on my phone at the moment :-(

You have an iPhone 4 so just turn on the wireless router function and away you go with a laptop.

Probably be able to easily beat my rural 1 meg line speed with a decent phone in London.

It will support everything as you will be using your phone in exactly the same way as a wireless router.

You will just use the phones data link instead of a hard wired cable to your house.

Ok, we have gone from 0 to the three musketeers, I have been spending quite a lot of time going through the old posts, and don’t worry Stephen I have only deleted posts which are no good to anyone, any technical ref etc is staying. The problem now is that there are so many Moderators and I don’t really want to be wasting my time doing something somebody else is already doing. SOOOOOOOO can we agree for each one of us to look after a particular section, and when one is away the other will cover that section. I have started on General so do you guys mind if I stick to that?
