I just quite like the idea of leaving things as they came out of the factory in terms of looks (especially something as lovely as the GTA and 610). It's what makes them so rare and different and unique in their own way. If I wanted my Renault to look like an Aston, I'd just get one of those Laguna Coupe's. Job done.

my sentiments also, there is nothing better than a restored car as it came from the factory. i just can;t understand why people pay to own this.i'd rather catch the bus.

I agree most cars should be left as they came out the factory, the modifications to the two A610's probably cost a few bob, the owners might as well throw the money away. If I ever go to look to buy a car I generally walk away from modded cars. Having said that I did buy a very well and very expensively moddified RX7. I think the OP should spend out and get the car properly sprayed up because first impressions do count for a lot bearing in my how few A610's are about.

I don't understand why the OP hasn't gone to the expense of spending £1600 on a repaint.

This thread has wandered off topic, what has happened to the original car?

Is it still for sale?

I'd be interested to know what happens to this car as I felt £10k was wide of the mark as is £4k.

I've not notice it pop up anywhere else and the seller has gone quiet which may be because he's sold it.

Maybe the interior photo's will help it along....

Paul - Do you want to send me pics of the interior to my email address?

I agree that it needs painting before asking top banana. Dig a little deeper and send it to Andy in Halifax then it should have a good chance at 10k on Pistonheads.
