Lee,
Where should the engine code be? (being lazy here I appreciate,,but why go rummaging though a book when a bit of incautious flattery is quicker?)

Thanks lee,
It's cold out there you know for a southern (woos), I will have a look tomorrow night, but I have a sinking feeling as the engine has a GTA bottom end, it's a z7x/7uz hybrid in many ways....I suspect the plate has gone missing.
Cheers
Lee

I think you'll only know if you strip the bottom end .

I can confirm that I cannot see any plates on the outside of this engine even with Lees guidance, my best torch and reading glasses, but I do know it came from a Laguna ( auto with 40k miles too so should be OK wear wise). So it must be a Z7X 765....! (he says hopefully).
Would I expect to be able to see them if I removed the sump? Seems likely from the picture.

Puzzling ??
Still no referance to the jet on the Renault info but I am still looking.

In the mean time a friend mine who use to work for Citroen sent me a PDF (52Mb) file of engine bits & it shows oil jets but they do not look the same?? So here is a screen shot.
