Is it just me or does anyone else think that there are certain other companies out there that provide far better support than Renault and Alpine?
I was just looking at the 900bhp RS200 on Pistonheads that's ready for Pikes Peak and was thinking about how so many RS200s have survived despite being a commercial flop.
But you only have to look at Ford's parts supply to work out why RS200s, and all manner of far more humble Fords can live on. They're even remanufacturing the Kent block.... ie they stopped making it, then started again just to help out the existing users who wanted replacements.

BMW have done the same in preserving M sport models and so on and so forth.
I know Ford have sold far more of certain engine types, models etc and have a huge following in the US and Oz but still.
Rant over anyway
It just seems a shame that parts support for a whole model line comes down to Steve and his lock-up, plus the likes of Simon-Auto et al.
I'm just here for the gasoline.
